Stirling Astronomical Society Gallery

Fantastic images of Friday's spectacular auroral displays. These were bright enough to seen from an urban environment in spite of streetlighting, and to be photographed handheld. These amazing displays were produced following powerful coronal mass ejections from Sunspot AR3664.
