Stirling Astronomical Society Gallery

The bright comet C/2023 A3 Tsuchinshan-ATLAS makes an appearance in the evening twilight. After passing perihelion in September the comet has developed a spectacular long tail as it moves away from the Sun and back towards the outer reaches of the solar system.
This image was sent in by Peter Hancock of Stirling University. Peter commented "Longest tail I've ever seen !".
