Open Cluster NGC 2244 at the core of the Rosette Nebula

The core of the Rosette Nebula. The nebula itself is an HII region in Monoceros. The group of bright stars in the centre of the nebula is the open cluster NGC 2244. Imaged using a tri-band filter, which gives the image this distinctive colour palette.
