Rupes Recta, the Straight Wall, sits between two small craters wiithin a larger crater on the south eastern shore of Mare Nubium. The wall is actually an escarpment caused by a fault line, which casts a shadow on the floor of the crater. This striking feature is best viewed shortly after First Quarter and again at Last Quarter.
